Tony’s gauntlet is raised and ready to fire the moment the doors open and reveal the small woman on the other side. His arm shakes a bit as he takes her in, but he keeps a firm ground, not wanting to appear weak in a potential enemy’s eyes. “Rumiko Fujikawa died years ago,” he says, stepping a bit further out so she can see him. “So unless you’re some bastard’s idea of a sick joke, I suggest you give me your real name and origin.”
Moving carefully, he edges a bit closer to the woman, studying her with scrutiny. She’s tiny, like Ru, with the same mischievous eyes and angled face he used to hold carefully in his hands. She looks older, though, than the Ru he buried; the lines around her eyes are more pronounced and she holds herself differently than the young girl he had dreamed of running away with.
Tony aches to go to her— to believe for a moment it’s his Rumiko— but he knows better than to take the risk. Instead he stands in the middle of his workshop, daring the woman to step forward— to tell him another lie.Tony no
When the door opened, Ru smiled brightly at the sight of Tony. That is until her gaze laid upon the gauntlet aimed right towards her face. Her eyes opened widely as she swallowed and stood her ground. There was no way that Tony would… deliberately hurt her, right? God, what the hell had he been through? Sighing, she placed her hands on her hips and tilted her head, smirking a bit. “Lover, you look like you have been through hell. What the hell happened?” she asked, still not faltering at the weapon aimed towards her.
She hummed slightly, rocking on her feet as Tony looked her over. Must be looking for something…wrong? Ru honestly had no idea. “This isn’t a trick, just in case you’re wondering, Tony. It’s really me. I swear,” she said and moved towards him. All she wanted to do was wrap her arms around him.
Rumiko really missed him, despite having memory lost, she felt a familiar longing which she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Moving a few more steps, she took hold of the gauntlet and aimed it away from her. “You know it’s me, Tony. What would I gain from lying to you?” Ru asked in a soft voice, her chocolate brown eyes gazing up at Tony. “Tony, please, believe me.”
